James "Bo" Davis

Mr. James “Bo” Carroll Davis 88 of Garland, NC, and formerly of Fayetteville and Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

Bo was the owner and operator of White Lake Blueberry Farm for over 20 years.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Earle Peterson Davis.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Parkersburg Baptist Church 190 Reeves Rd., Garland, NC,  by the Reverend Ronnie Grizzle officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Davis is survived by five children, Caro Davis of Hampstead, NC Jim Davis and wife, Melody of Wilmington, NC Laura Gatyas Peterson and husband Marcus of Supply, NC, Stephen M. Gatyas, III of Wilmington, NC and Tracy Canady of Stedman, NC, nine grandchildren, Robert Davis, Clayton Canady, Nolan Canady, Nathan Tatum, Savannah Tatum, Carolyn Davis, Patti Davis, Gray Peterson, and McKenzie Peterson, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families that held a special place in his heart.

The family will receive friends from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Parkersburg Baptist Church.
