Mrs. Georgia Owens Robinson, 107, of 112-32 200 St., St. Albans, NY, formerly of Garland passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her residence.
Georgia Robinson was born August 20, 1913, to late Fletcher and Carrie Owens of Parkersburg, NC. Mrs. Robinson was the wife of Claude Robinson of Garland, NC. Georgia had five children, three daughters and two sons. Both sons Leon and Claudie Robinson, Jr. preceded her in death. Georgia moved to Queens, NY from Parkersburg, NC, after her husband passed away, and lived with her daughter Fady Mitchell for 22 years. She enjoyed the move very much and was very content and happy living in NY. She is survived by her daughters Hildron Scriven of Fayetteville, NC., Fady Mitchell of St. Albans, NY, Linda Bass (son-in law Joshua Bass) of Bronx, NY., two sisters Velma Council of Fayetteville, NC, Eloise Simpson of Greensboro, NC, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Smith Chapel Church Cemetery, 7485 Old Mintz Hwy., Garland, NC with the Reverend Jerry Parker officiating.
Georgia lived to give love and kindness. She was a member of Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, NY. She loved the Lord and enjoyed praise and worship. She was generous and giving to everyone she met and always asked, "Would you like something to eat?" Everyone loved her.
Let us pay tribute to her memory and take comfort in knowing she has gone home to be with the Lord.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
