Ms. Eyvonne Highsmith, 78, of 5911 NC Hwy 210 East, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Interment will follow in the Murphy Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 1-5 pm on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.

Eyvonne Highsmith was born January 14, 1941 in Bladen County to the late Frank and Mary Mellssie Highsmith. She departed this life November 13th, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Mellssie Highsmith, brothers Stacy Highsmith, Tom Highsmith, Earl Highsmith, Wade Highsmith, Van Buren, sisters Anna Campbell, Blanche Webb and grandson Johnthan Highsmith.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories

Richard Highsmith of the home, Annie Ree Highsmith of Harrells and Gail Highsmith of Harrells, sister Isabell Kerr of Clinton and one brother-in-law Julius Kerr that she loved dearly.

Grandchildren

Barry Highsmith, Derrick (Tameka) Highsmith, Richard Highsmith Jr., Byron Highsmith, James (Teresa) Highsmith and Adrianna Highsmith.

Fourteen great-grandchildren, A special great granddaughter Essence Lewis, three special nephews KC Highsmith, Winfred Highsmith and Johnell Highsmith, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special friends Frank Robinson, Victoria Morrisey, Lonnie Ray Devane, Ida Robinson, Eunice Beatty, Jerelene Murphy and Reverend Laura Corrbett.
