Evita M. Turner

Mrs. Evita Mae Alford Turner, 75, of 1435 Tomahawk Hwy., Harrells, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at UNC Lenoir Medical Center in Kinston, NC.

Evita was born on May 20, 1949, in Sampson County to the late: James Bishop Alford and his wife Mary Jane Gainey Alford. In addition to her parents, Evita is preceded in death by her husband: Edward E. Turner, two sisters: Rose Fennell; Shirley Fennell, and three brothers: Rudolph Alford Sr.; Henry J. Alford, and Donnell A. Alford.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Keathern Baptist Church, 92 Bland School Road, Harrells. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Jeffery Howard and Reverend Willie C. Alford will be officiating the service.

Evita leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children: Timothy L. Alford (Twilla) of Harrells; Edward A. Turner of Winston-Salem; Alicia Turner of Harrells, brothers: James C. Alford of Killeen, TX; Reverend Willie C. Alford (Jackie) of Harrells, sisters: Jessie R. Sellars of Harrells; Ester Fennell of Wallace, foster sister: Quessie Spearman of Harrells, 7 grandchildren: Kiana Alford; Calvin Alford; Kamiya Adams; Kameron Turner; Kaiden Turner; Destiny Williams; Gregory Frederick, and 11 great-grand-children: Tavon Alford; Khaleel Alford; Keh’Lani Jackson; Kah’Moni Jackson; Keonte Jackson; Kyrie Alford; Isire Alford; Kapri Williams; Honest Williams; Braylen Frederick; Cashmire Frederick, and other family members, and friends in the community.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, with the family present from 4:00-5:00 PM.
