Mrs. Ernestine Benson Barnes, 87, 176 Austin E. Barnes Dr. Garland, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at West Bladen Assisted Living in Bladenboro, NC.

Ms. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Barnes.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 13, 2022, at Sandhill Cemetery, Norris Rd., Garland, NC by the Reverend Ralph Carter, Jr.

Ms. Barnes is survived by three sons, Dean Barnes, Stanley Barnes, and Frank Barnes, all of Garland, one sister, Geraldine Carroll of New Bern, NC, and 2 grandchildren, Brittany Lennon, and Mary Jo Lennon.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, 2022, after the service at the cemetery.
