Edward Junious Autry

Mr. Edward Junious Autry, 82, of 9397 US Highway 701 N., Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his residence.

Edward was born on February 17, 1942, in Bladen County to the late Daniel Wilson Fletcher Autry & Elizabeth Ann Bodeaux Autry.  In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by two sisters: Marjorie Autry, and Frances Autry Thomas, and two brothers: Wilson Daniel Autry, and Raymond Wendell.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 01, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Holiness Church, 2020 Johnsontown Rd., Elizabethtown, NC by the Reverend John T. McCoy officiating.  Burial will follow in the Autry Cemetery.

Edward leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife: Katherine Baldwin Autry, children: Chinithia Corbett, Ann Brown, Edward Autry Jr., Robert Autry, Priscilla Brayboy (Milton), Christy Autry, Kayla Harrison (Michael), 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, brothers: Leo Autry (Joyce), of Elizabethtown, NC, Thurman Autry (Linda) of Fayetteville, NC, Randolph Autry (Georgia) of Garland, NC, Jerry Autry of Fayetteville, NC, sisters: Hattie Streeter of Fayetteville, NC, Janice Johnson (Larry) of Elizabethtown, NC, Elaine Autry of Elizabethtown, NC, Michelle Stacker of Clinton, NC, uncle: Oscar Lee Autry Jr. (Delma), three sister-in-law’s Susanna Cotton of Elizabethtown, NC, Ella Stokes and Ruth Johnson of Newburgh, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 2:PM-7:PM with family present from 6:PM-7:PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
