Mrs. Edna Underwood Peterson 104 of 108 Southwood Dr. Clinton, NC, formerly of Garland died Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Southwood Nursing Center Clinton, NC.
Mrs. Peterson was born September 24, 1912 in Sampson Co. the daughter of the late Howell Burse Underwood and Delilah Robinson Underwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Peterson, along with five sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Antioch United Methodist Church 4404 NC Hwy. 210 W., Garland, NC by the Reverend Erin Smith and Reverend Richard Smith. Burial will follow in Peterson Cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson is survived by two sons, Odell Peterson (Barbara) of Garland, Howell Peterson of Charlotte, one daughter, Betty Jones (Wayne) of Lincolnton, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the church from 12:00PM-1:45P.M., before the service, and other times at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Odell Peterson, 8040 NC Hwy. 210 W., Garland, NC 28441.
