On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Dwight Hayes, beloved father, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life. He was born on November 6, 1956, to Willie and Beulah Hayes in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dwight was one of five children in the Hayes family and was the second eldest of a set of triplets. He also had two half-sisters, Dionne Carol and Renee Carol.
Dwight was predeceased by his parents, Willie and Beulah Hayes, as well as his siblings, Shelia Hayes and Dale Hayes Sr. Despite the pain of these losses, Dwight remained a loving and dedicated family member to those who survived him.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Jumping Run Cemetery, McKoy Loop Road, Ivanhoe, NC. Reverend Willie E. Imes will be officiating the service.
A proud graduate of South Brunswick High School, Class of 1975, Dwight worked for many years at Sears and later as a valued employee of the South Brunswick School System. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life—Dwight was also a dedicated volunteer at Elijah's Promise, where he contributed his time to help those in need.
Dwight's legacy of love, kindness, and community service will be cherished by his daughter, Quinesha Feaster (Kevin Feaster) of Irvington, NJ; his brother, William Hayes of South Brunswick, NJ; his sisters, Dionne Carol and Renee Carol, both of New Jersey; his three grandsons, Kevin, Christian, and Terrance Feaster; his special cousin, Ruth Burnett; his niece, Chaneek Hayes; his nephew Dale Hayes Jr. and a host of extended family and friends.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 1:00-5:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland.
