Dolly Pink McKeithan

Dolly Pink McKeithan, a respected Medical Stenographer in the Health Care Industry, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born on December 19, 1943, and dedicated her life to providing essential support in the health care field, demonstrating exceptional skill and compassion throughout her career.

Dolly is remembered for her kindness and unwavering commitment to her work, as well as for the warmth she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her daughter, Natasha McKeithan of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Willma Doggett of Brooklyn, NY; Peggy Sanders of Fayetteville, NC; and Diane Long of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Mozell James of Roseboro, NC; two grandchildren, Shaniya E. Jones and Tylee R. Cornelius; and one great-grandchild, Dali R. Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Parker James and John James, Jr.; her step-mother, Katie R. Newman; and by three sisters, Bernestine Clinkscale, Connie James, and Shirley Perry; as well as three brothers, Cleveland Newman, Martin James, and Richard "Pete" James.

The services to honor Dolly’s life will be held beginning with a viewing on March 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the family present from 5:00-6:00 PM,  at Carter Funeral Home, located at 111 North Ingold Avenue, Garland, NC. A funeral service will take place on March 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Sam Springs AME Zion Church,  1964 Old Mintz Highway, Roseboro, NC, followed by interment at Roseboro-Snowhill Cemetery, 816 Marion-Amos Road, Roseboro, NC. Reverend Pastor Gonzalez Harris will be officiating the service.

Dolly Pink McKeithan's legacy will live on through the memories she has created with her family and friends, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
