Mrs. Desiree Shawnee Royal Cromartie, 50, of 2385 Holland Town Road, Salemburg, NC, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 04, 2025, at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. 

Desiree was born on August 29, 1974, in Sampson County to James & Hilda Royal.

The public will be received on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home, 111 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, NC. The family will receive friends before the service on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 11:00-12:45, at the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center, in the Prestage Hall, 414 Warsaw Road, Clinton, NC.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center, in the Prestage Hall, 414 Warsaw Road, Clinton, NC. Interment to follow in the Springvale Cemetery, 509 West Elizabeth St., Clinton, NC. The family asks that if you are attending the service please dress brightly in celebration of Desiree's life.
