Darlene Mckoy

Ms. Darlene McKoy, 56, of 125 Clinton Ave., Garland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Darlene was born July 07, 1965, in Sampson County to the late Albert H. Carr and Portia Faith McKoy. In addition to her father, Darlene is preceded in death by one son: Timothy L. McKoy, and one brother: Daniel McKoy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 02, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Interment to follow the service at Garland Community Cemetery, Garland. The Reverend Tommy Carr will be officiating the service.

Darlene leaves to cherish her memory one son: Antonio “Bean” McKoy, mother: Portia McKoy of Garland, and five sisters: Denise McKoy of Garland; Irlene Johnson (Livest) of Garland; Josephine McKoy of Garland; Lawanda McKoy of Garland; and Darlene Gray, and five beloved grandchildren: Timthoy L. McKoy Jr.; Antoino Mckoy; Areona McKoy; Ashanti McKoy; and Aryan McKoy., two aunts: Swennie Johnson; Essie Carr, and one uncle: Tommy Carr.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 01, 2022, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 PM.
