Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Carter Funeral Home in Garland, by Deacon Leander Owens. Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery, in Garland
Mr. Owens is survived by his wife Pauline Owens of Philadelphia, Pa, two sons, Dennis Owens, Daniel Owens, Jr. both of Philadelphia, Pa., one daughter, Lisa Owens, Philadelphia, Pa., 7 sisters, Carolyn Boykin, Janice Highsmith, Patricia Sellers, Debra Lloyd, all of Garland, Phyllis Monk, Cathy McMillian, both of Raleigh, Cennie Brothers, of Clinton, 6 brothers, Arthur Owens, Johnny Owens, Leander Owens, Howard Owens all of Garland, Marvin Owens Jr. of Whiteville, Dan Ray Owens of Roseboro, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren
