Colleen Shannon

Divinely gifted and exquisitely beautiful.

Colleen Shannon (Moriarty) went to be her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on February 12 2021.

Born in Rockville Centre, NY on June 13 1936. She graduated from Oceanside high school in 1953. In 1965 she built a home and opened a delicatessen in Coram/Middle Island, NY.

In 1970 Colleen found a phone number on a wooden nickel advertising health products. It changed her life and for the next 50 years she would become an authority on health and wellness, opening her own health center Crystal Brook in Middle Island in 1980. She held a wealth of knowledge on health and wellness, essential oils, herbs, supplements, well-being, nutrition, science and the Bible.

Dr. Shannon was a Naturopath physician whose philosophy was: "Live life in the spirit of health”. She was an educator that shared her knowledge and helped countless others. She was generous in everything she did and loved life.

Her weekly conference calls for many years attracted followers that became her lifelong friends. She was an accomplished gifted artist, an author, a philosopher and lifetime scholar. She was always reinventing herself.  She settled in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1985.  Colleen  open her  own store  Nature's Wealth  in Cedar Creek NC she operated it for 27 years .In 2017 she opened Nature's Wealth at Peddlers Village in Stedman NC .She never wanted to retire and she loved working  with her hands and creating . She loved nature and the ocean, mermaids and seashells and all of the gifts of nature.

She leaves behind her best friend and companion of 20 years Manuel Gonzalez Aguilar and her beloved little dog Minnie. Her children: Jane and Cesare Mitrani of Southlake TX  , Lillian and Robert Maher of Daytona Beach FL , Carmine Geddis of Port Jefferson  NY , Jamey and Robert Richards of Gray's Creek NC  and Carolyn Foland and Robert Gregory Cole of Fayetteville NC. Her Seven beloved grandchildren and her eleven great grandchildren that brought her so much joy

Colleen’s spirit of giving and love are her greatest legacy. She helped so many and was loved by all. She touched the lives of everyone that knew her. Her impact on countless friends and admirers all over the world will continue. Her legacy is of health and wellness and most importantly her love of God. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart" and do everything with love.   She believed in angels and now she gained her wings. Home with the Lord!
