Clyde Helen Vann

Ms. Clyde Helen Vann, 95, of 244 North Parkersburg Ave., Garland, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in Raeford.

Clyde was born February 26, 1927, in Sampson County to the late James Underwood and wife Vada Bryant Underwood. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Livie Vann Jr., two daughters: Barbara Ann Vann; Libie Vann; one son: Livie Vann, one grandson: Cornelius Vann, five brothers: Marty Underwood; Harold Underwood; Henry Underwood; Hurbert Underwood; Joe Underwood, and two sisters: Elizabeth Underwood, Doris Underwood.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 06, 2022, at Little Piney Grove Baptist Church in Clinton. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Clyde leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Phyllis Vann of Brooklyn, NY; Peggy Vann of Raeford; Brenda Vann of Garland; Iasha Vann of Garland, one sister: Hazel Treadwell of Ingold, four sister-in-law: Gloria Underwood of Clinton; Hazel Bryant of Dunn; Ella Underwood of Wadesboro; Mary Lois Underwood of Delway, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 05, 2022, from 1:00-7:00 PM with the family present from 6:00-7:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
