Clide (Robinson) Simmons

Ms. Clide Robinson Simmons, 91, of 291 Henry Lane, Ivanhoe, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.

Clide was born November 06, 1931, in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Clide Robinson and Sally Carr Robinson.  She was preceded in death by a daughter: Elnora Simmons. She was a member of Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed a career in the Aviation Field as an Inspector with Park City Packaging.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 01, 2023, at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 581 Trestle Road, Ivanhoe, NC by the Rev. Willie Imes.  Interment to follow at Jumpin Run Cemetery in Ivanhoe.

Clide leaves to cherish her memory her beloved 5 sons: James Jacobs (Viola) of Stratford, Conn; Tracy Jacobs of Ivanhoe; McKinley Jacobs (Sakinha) of Guyton, GA.; two sons in Connecticut: James Martin; and William Martin, one sister: Ida Mae Jacobs of Ivanhoe, two special grandchildren: Telly Martin; and Tony Martin both of Bridgeport, Conn., 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 1:00-7:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland with the family present from 5:00-7:00 PM.
