Mrs. Claretta S. Williamson 82 of 11238 Garland Hwy, Clinton, NC died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday May 22, 2017 at Galilee Holiness Church with Rev. Jimmy Melvin officiating. Burial will follow at the Lamb Cemetery in Garland.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Sampson County on November 16, 1934 to the late Stewart Lamb Jr. and Margaret Robinson Lamb. She was predeceased by her husbands Charlie Stevens and Major Williamson, three brothers Ralph Lamb, Coley Lamb and Buddy Lamb. Three sisters, Geneva Ellis, Alma Robinson and Gertrude Lamb.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by two daughters Merian Smith & husband Billy of Garland and Samantha Ann McKoy of Garland, one son Charlie Joseph Stevens & wife Abigal of Garland. One brother George “Sonnie Boy” Lamb wife Patricia of Springfield MA., one Sister Shirley Rich Baggett & husband Thomas of Godwin, NC. Eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A public viewing will be held from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM Sunday May 21 2017 at Cater Funeral Home in Garland.
