Cathy Diane (Cain) Horrell

Mrs. Cathy Diane Cain Horrell, 71, of 88 Triple H. Lane, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at her residence.

Cathy was born March 11, 1951, in Sampson County to the late Joe Cain and his wife Kathleen Fair Cain. Cathy worked in the Farrowing Department with Murphy Family Farm until retirement. She was a full-time Granny to 8. In addition to her parents, Cathy is preceded in death by her brother: Chester Cain, and sister: Phyllis Thorton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 03, 2023, at Garland Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, 475 W. 2nd St., Garland. Reverend Dewey Ball will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Horrell cemetery.

Cathy leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband: Hugh Horrell of the home, three daughters: Jodie and her husband Larry of Salemburg; Randi and her husband Stephen; Kristie Pierson and Wayne Barnes, eight beloved grandkids: Logan; Mary Cathryn; Raine; Carter; Sonny; Hollis; Addicus; River, two honorary grandkids: John; Austin, and all the residents of the town of Garland.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday, January 03, 2023, from 1:00-1:45 PM, in the church fellowship hall.
