Carlton Highsmith Sr.

Mr. Carlton Highsmith Sr., 72, of 59 Highsmith Rd., Harrells, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his residence.

Carlton was born May 30, 1949, in Bladen County to Jessie and Arlene Highsmith. He is preceded in death by his father: Jessie Highsmith, siblings: Ronnie; Jackolyn; Bernard, and Ojeala.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. Interment to follow the service at Fennell Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrells. Repast following the interment at the Church of Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 718 Airport Rd., Garland.

Carlton leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Ruth Highsmith, children: Carla and Devon Nelson of Philadelphia, PA; Jessica and Rodney Wynn of Middletown, DE; Antoinette and Aaron Holliday of Philadelphia, PA; Carton Highsmith Jr. and Clarence Highsmith of Philadelphia, PA, grandchildren: Erron; Antwyne; Erica; Sherron; Anthony; Timothy; Ashley; Felicia; Philip; William; Ziariah; Talib; Zayla; Shyheed, great-grandchildren: Aayden; Ethan; Evan, siblings: Brenda Highsmith; Anese Gibson; Juanita Highsmith;Vivian Highsmith, Jeffrey; Craig; Archie; Glenn; Sammy; Jean; Harold; Floyd; Joanne; Willie, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 08, 2022, from 1:00-6:00 PM, at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
