Betty (Spencer) Hayes

Mrs. Betty Spencer Hayes, 74, of 866 Bland School Road, Harrells, passed away on Sunday, May 01, 2022, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

Betty was born December 28, 1947, in Sampson County to the late Harvey Lee Spencer and Willie Henry Carr Spencer.  In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Earl Hayes, three brothers: Henry L. Spencer; Ray Spencer; Charlie Spencer, and one sister: Clara Raynor.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 06, 2022, at Keathern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Apostle Georgia Walker. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Sandra Robinson (Danny) of Rose Hill; Sherry Webster of Holly Springs, one son: James Spencer (Tamekia) of Fayetteville, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 05, 2022, from 1:00-6:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Garland. The family will be present from 5:00-6:00 PM.
