Albert Harvie Barnes

Mr. Albert Harvie Barnes, 75, of 54 Old Peanut Rd., Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at his residence.

Harvie was born December 20, 1946, in Sampson County to the late Jay Thaddeous & Rossie Barnes. He graduated from Garland High School in 1965. Harvie was employed with Nash Johnson for 29 years as a local farmer. He was a member of Hickory Grove Fire Department and he was a Deacon and Co-Founder of Friendship Baptist Church. Harvie is preceded in death by brothers: Roscoe; Milton and Calvin.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Friendship Baptist Church, Bull St., Garland. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. The service will be officiated by Pastor Gary McMillan. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:50 PM.

Harvie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife: Dorothy D. Barnes of the home, three daughters: Lisa Gautier of Roseboro; Karen Brown of Holly Ridge; Christy Howard of Delco, son: Allen Barnes of Garland, two step-daughters: Angie Lewis of Greenville; Julia Flynn of Sanford, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchild, and 2 step-granddaughters.
