Vivian Lee (Smith) Norris

Mrs. Vivian Lee (Smith) Norris, 78, of 217 West. 2nd St., Garland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, at her residence.

Vivian was born June 20, 1945, in Sampson County, to the late Beza Smith and his wife, Leonia Carter Smith. In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by one granddaughter: Donna Norris, and one great-grandson: Alferton Garcia, two sisters: Ann Smith; and Betty Ruth Norris, and two brothers: Leonard Buddy Smith; and Robert Carter.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 22, 2023, at Garland Baptist Church, 55 West 2nd St., Garland. Interment to follow at the Garland Cemetery, Harrells Hwy., Garland. Conducting the service will be Reverend Ed Rouse and Reverend Larry Smith.

Vivian leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband: Ned Coleman Norris of the home, two daughters: Carol Horne (Douglas) of Garland; and Stephanie Esparza (Christhian) of Roseboro, one son: Coleman Norris, Jr. (Teresa) of Garland, 7 grandchildren: Kayla Tadlock (Lance); Nicole Smith (Tyler Talton); Samantha King (Antonio Garcia); David King (Allision); Melissa Brown (Lee); Chris Norris (Amber); and CJ Esparza, 24 great-grandchildren: Paisley Talton; Kinsley Talton; Waylon Talton; Cayden Talton; Bryson Tadlock; Easton Tadlock; Diesel King; Addision King; Riley King; Allision King; Azalee Garcia; Aryanna Garcia; Abigail Garcia; Arson Garcia; Kayden Mclaurin; Jayden Norris; Aynslee Gurley; Zackary Norris; David Hocutt; Ladashia Norris; Isabella Brown; Dylan Brown; Jaxon; and Eli.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Garland Baptist Church, 55 West 2nd St., Garland.
